Policy

Damage reporting and vehicle care responsibilities.

This damage policy explains what customers must do if a Goluxdrivee vehicle is damaged, how incidents are reviewed, what costs may apply, and when deposit deductions or insurance-related charges may be passed on to the customer.

Reporting and inspection

What to do if something happens during the trip.

Immediate reporting

Any accident, scratch, dent, tire issue, windshield crack, theft, water entry, underbody contact, warning light, or other unusual condition must be reported to Goluxdrivee as soon as it is noticed during the rental period.

Pickup and return inspection

Vehicle condition is reviewed at pickup and again at return. Pre-existing marks recorded at handover are not charged again, but newly identified damage, missing items, or abnormal wear discovered at return may be billed to the customer after assessment.

Assessment and documentation

Goluxdrivee may inspect the vehicle directly or through an authorized workshop, insurer, or service partner. Repair estimates, replacement cost, towing, downtime, administrative handling, and claim-related deductions may all form part of the final assessment where allowed.

Customer responsibility

Charges that may be recovered from the renter.

Preventable damage and negligence

The customer may be held responsible for damage caused by unsafe driving, ignoring warning signs, driving on unsuitable terrain, continuing to drive on a puncture, fuel contamination, interior misuse, lost keys, lost documents, or avoidable failure to secure the vehicle.

Cleaning and missing items

Charges may apply for smoke smell, spills, deep interior cleaning, pet damage, upholstery stains, broken trim, missing accessories, missing charging cables, or missing documents and tools supplied with the vehicle.

Tyres, wheels, glass, and underbody

Tyres, alloy wheels, glass damage, underbody impact, and damage caused by potholes, flooding, careless parking, or curb strikes may be billed to the customer where the incident is not clearly attributable to ordinary wear or an already recorded condition.

Protection and exclusions

When damage protection may not apply.

Insurance and deposit deductions

Where insurance or a damage protection product applies, the customer may still remain liable for deductibles, uncovered parts, claim processing costs, downtime, and amounts that fall outside insurer approval or policy coverage.

Coverage exclusions

Any damage linked to drunk driving, drug use, unauthorized drivers, banned routes, illegal activity, reckless overspeeding, tampering with tracking systems, deliberate abuse, or non-cooperation after an incident may void damage protection and result in full recovery from the customer.

Breakdowns and roadside handling

Customers must wait for guidance from Goluxdrivee before arranging major repairs. Emergency assistance may be provided where possible, but repair decisions, vehicle recovery, replacement, and reimbursements remain subject to verification, approval, and operational availability.
